Dr. Pieter A. Swanepoel
Dr Pieter Swanepoel (PhD Pr. Sci. Nat.) is a researcher at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. His research focus is on agronomic practices that enhance soil quality of crop and pasture systems. He has special interest in Conservation Agriculture systems, integrated with livestock, as well as intensive dairy pasture systems. He gained a number of prestigious awards for his research on soil quality. His research is aimed at improving farming efficiency, and he is therefore involved in scientific societies and voluntary networks where he transfers knowledge and new technologies to the agricultural sector through the popular media, at farmer’s days and South African radio. In January 2018, he became the Editor-in-Chief of the African Journal of Range & Forage Science.
